What to Know for a More Positive Golf Experience at Royal St. Cloud

All food and beverages must be purchased at Royal St. Cloud – no outside personal coolers and absolutely no alcoholic beverages brought on to our property. Anyone who has alcoholic beverages not sold to them by our staff will be asked to leave immediately, without refund.

  • All players must register in the Golf Shop before playing.
  • Players must use the cart assigned to them by the Starter.
    Players present their receipts to our Starter to get their assigned golf carts. Requests for a single–rider golf cart will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Every attempt will be made by staff to fulfill a request if reasonably possible.
  • Each player is required to play with their own bag and set of golf clubs. Players may rent a set of club in our Golf Shop for the round.
  • Appropriate attire is required. Shirts are required. Only dress attire not allowed at Royal St. Cloud Golf Links are tank tops, typically worn by men, and strapless shirts, tube tops, crop tops (or the like), typically worn by women. The management of Royal St. Cloud reserves the right to refuse business to any guest not conforming to the above dress code.
  • All play will begin on the #1 hole of the assigned first nine unless instructed otherwise by course staff. The second nine is also to be played on the course assigned.
  • The maximum number of players in each group is four.
  • Players must be 18 or older to rent a golf cart.
  • Please do not leave your carts in the parking lot after your round.

Examples of Appreciated Golf Etiquette at Royal St. Cloud:

  • Repairing ball marks
  • Avoiding slow play
  • Keeping carts on the paths near greens and tees
  • When conditions are wet, observing 90-degree cart rule (keeping off wet fairways)
  • Keeping carts out of roped-off areas
  • If playing music, being mindful of the volume level so it’s OK for your group and not affecting or distracting other groups on the course near you
  • Overall, observing good golf etiquette which includes no harassing of other players with foul language or the like
