QUESTION: What Happens if You Need to Cancel your Tee Time or Change the Number of Players?
ANSWER: We understand that there are times when you are unable to come enjoy our golf course after making a tee time. We are also disappointed when you aren’t able to join us. We ask that you please provide us with a 24-hour notice of a cancellation in advance to avoid charges.
If you do not cancel or reduce your number of players 24 hours before your scheduled tee time, you will be subject to a charge on the credit card that you provided when you made your reservation. The amount charged will be equal to equal to the price of the round including sales tax. A credit will be issued in the form of a “Raincheck” that can be used towards another round of golf at Royal St. Cloud, valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
The course reserves the right to charge golfers for missed tee times (“No-Shows”) and reduced player counts (“Short Shows”).
If you made your tee time reservation online, you are also able to cancel online.
Tournaments and leagues have different requirements.
QUESTION: What will happen if I’m late for my tee time at Royal St. Cloud?
ANSWER: If you arrive late, our golf staff will do their best to accommodate you whenever possible. Arriving at least 20 minutes prior to your tee time sets you up for a more relaxing round of golf.
We ask that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your tee time—to allow for your check-in at the pro shop, golf cart assignment and warm-up.
QUESTION: Why is a credit card required with my tee time reservation for Royal St. Cloud?
ANSWER: In order to provide you with a better selection of tee times, we require Guests to secure tee time reservations with a credit card. Unfortunately, if a golf course were to not require credit cards for reservations, more people would no-show and that would take away opportunities for other Guests.
If you choose to pre-pay for your reservation online, your card will be charged right away.
If you do not choose to pre-pay, your credit card will not be charged when the reservation is made.
QUESTION: Why is Pace of Play so Important?
ANSWER: There are basically three reasons. 1) Golfer Experience: When play is not too slow, that can significantly increase the enjoyment of the round, avoiding frustration and spending more time than expected at the course – freeing up more time to enjoy a great meal at Stone Bridge Tavern afterwards!; 2) Course Management: Good, consistent pace of play helps avoid bottlenecks on the course and helps golfers complete their rounds within a reasonable timeframe; 3) Efficiency: When pace of play is well-managed, the course can accommodate more players throughout the day.
QUESTION: Can we play our music on our phone or on a speaker while playing at Royal St. Cloud?
ANSWER: Playing music on a phone or through a normally-sized blue-tooth speaker is generally permitted, but it’s crucial to be considerate of other golfers. While there are no specific rules against it at Royal St. Cloud, etiquette dictates that golfers should be mindful of volume and potential distractions to others. Even making sure the other members of the foresome you are playing with are OK with the playlist goes a long way. From Golf.com, “Your right to play music does not come with permission to crank it at stadium-concert levels. If it’s loud enough for groups on other holes to hear it, turn it down.”
